casle acre priory was the second site of the day we explore, this is one of EH paid sites, the entry fee is but not to much - once we arrived to the site we parked up and then went into the site - before we headed out on the main site we stop and ready some the history that is all around the corridor that leads to the main site. once out on the main site we look around the abbey some parts were closed due to work being done on the site, but overall 90% of the site was viewable. Not many people around due to the fact it still winters time - with is nice as was able to ejoy the site a bit more we spent a good 1hr / 2hr on the site just looking around taking photos to read the board.

the site is said to be preserved monastic sites that backdate to 1090,

This was the first of 3  explores of the day , once we arrived to the carpark we parked up and walk to the little ticket office and showed them are membership cards and then went through to the castle, the castle it self is a lovely little ruin - because if still wintertime not many people are around so was able to enjoy the castle without having to worry about bumping into to many people.

it said that this castle back dates to around 1138 , it also said that by the 14 century it was used as a luxurious residence of Queen Isabella, it also said it one the largest / , best preserved, and most lavishly decorated keeps in England,
