During our trip to Scotland, we decided to visit Edinburgh Castle. Although it was a rainy day, it did not dampen our spirits as we enjoyed exploring the castle and taking in the sights. We would love to go back again someday.
We learned that the castle had served as a royal residence up until 1633. In the 15th century, there was an attempt to give the castle a residential role but it was unfortunately declined. Later, in the 17th century, it was used as military barracks with a large garrison.arracks with a large garrison.
