This was the first time I have been to temple manor in about 5 years I last went in  (2017) and I have to say it was great fun - I took my 2yr old there as it was part of the Halloween trail that we were doing ( you collect little bags) , inside the temple manor has not changed at all - but was dark due to the gloom of the weather outside, the staff was friendly and also very chatty, The site is very small but is well worth the visit when it open.

So it said that the temple manor was built in the 13th century, and it was said that the hall was provided for lodging for dignitaries who traveled between Dover and London, it was also a prime example of a medieval building

Over October half term me and my toddler though we do the Halloween trail around Rochester where they collect little badges at each location
East Gate House was one the locations, on the trail , I have never been in East Gate House so I took this opportunity to go into East Gate House, I paid £5 something witch was a good price, and off I went ~ I was so surprised how big the house is on the side with hidden doors , and passages leading into other rooms , also how clean and well kept the house
I would recommend anyone to go visit if in the area

A bit history I found on web

So it said that east gate house is grade 1 listed building ,

its said it was built around 16th/17th century

the building had a £2.2m HLF to help restore the building as carfuly as possible with its oringal features

the second floor of the building was open to the public after beeen closed for more than 40yrs

iv known about these mines for about 3 years - but only got around to checking them out, the mines are a lot smaller than I expected, and with the weather starting off mega crap due to heavy rainfall and thunder - we set off around midday to the mines, when we got there it was a tight squee down the shaft ( defo was not my favorite ) once inside it was pretty much a straight line, there not much down there but some cool natural graffiti & and rail lines from when they are done mining I did not enjoy going cross the bridge, but it was a cool part of the iron mines.

From the number of different sources online said that these mines opened for just 1 yr ( between 1857 to 1858 ) before being abandoned,

the mines were used to mine iron,
