Little Charts Church

Date:   December 2015

Location: Puckley

Public or Abandoned: public

Demolished:  No

My family and I took a short drive to Puckley to visit a small church. Puckley is known to be the most haunted village. In August of 1944, the church was directly hit by a bomb, and only a small part of it survived the attack.

Greenwich North Footpath - Greenwich

Greenwich North footpath

Date:   December 2015

Location: Greenwich

Public or Abandoned: public

Demolished:  No

The footpath is an interesting one to take, but it can be quite lengthy. The tunnel was originally begun in 1899 and was finally opened to the public in 1902. While it is possible that the tunnel was used as an air-raid shelter during wartime, there is no concrete information available to confirm this.,

I saw some workers outside of a building and asked if I could take a look inside. To my surprise, they allowed me to enter and explore. The building, known as Unicorn House, was quite spacious but largely empty. It has since been converted into a Sainsbury's grocery store.kers outside of a building and asked if I could take a look inside. To my surprise, they allowed me to enter and explore. Sally Port/Brompton Air-raid shelter

Date: September

Location: Gillingham

Public or Abandoned: Abandoned

Demolished:  No

I don't know much about this air-raid shelter, but it is the only other one still standing in the area. The air-raid shelters were used to help protect the locals. This air-raid shelter is so small and easy to access - all I had to do was move the gate and walk in. It doesn't go far..

Unfortunately, I don't have much information about the old chalk pit in Finsbury. However, during my exploration, I stumbled upon an old tunnel that ran beneath the chalk pit. Unfortunately, I couldn't take any photos of the interior of the tunnel as my camera ran out of power.

.The site where the village stands can be traced back to the 12th century, but it was rebuilt during the 15th century. Currently, the site is owned by the National Trust.

You can either take a boat or walk to the island, depending on the tide. During our visit, we had to take the boat because the tide was high and we missed the crossing. The castle is a must-see and definitely worth a visit.
