living close to dockside iv always gone past this building then one day I just diced to take some photos of it why I was out and about doing my normal thing
it said that this machine shop was built in about 1845, but was closed in 1865 and stood empty and stripped out ever since a number of ideas have been proposed on what to do with the building but nothing has gone through yet

i have no idea why i even took photos off this , just at the time it seemed like a good idea as i always drive past it on my way home, it used to be part of the old Somerfield's store carpark before Somerfield's left and was replaced my different store - the site now home to Britton farm,
it said that there are plans for 44 new apartments to be built, even know it has all been demolished work has seemed to be at a halt.

I had this on my “to do “ list for a while now, so on a late Wednesday evening we hopped in the car and dove the hour and bit down to the mill, was surprised that it was so easy to get to ( on the public footpath ) anyways once we got there the sun was setting fast and didn’t really have much time
it said that the mill was built in 1884, and closed down in 1969
the mill went though so major changed such a fire in 1908, and water power until 1945
there are plans to turn the old mill into flats but nothing has gone through yet.
