The exploration around the fort was a nice one - we had access to almost all of the fort which was nice - they had opened up almost every building so you can go in and have a look and made it safe for you to walk around - almost all the fort has been left how it was and there hardly any modification done to it other than some part ways put into the woods/buildings cleaned up, what was also nice is the fact they had a key system where you put a key on a hock outside the building so the building not bombarded with load people so you are able to take your time and have a proper look around.

The beacon hill fort is said be built between the late 19th/early 20th century

according to the website ( here ) the fort was used in ww1 & ww2, the site also included 6 gun emplacements - sadly by the end of the war the fort became abandoned for a very long time, until 2017 when it was turned into a tourist attraction
