This site was the 4th site out 4 sites we explored this day as a family and was also the last one of the day, once we got there we were able to park pretty close so we didn't have to walk far, the castle did get busy fast though for end of the day.

it's said that the medieval bishops were rich and powerful men and that the wolvsey castle was their main residence through the middle ages.

This was the 3/4 location we explore this day as a family, but I was a little disappointed when I arrived to find that almost all the site is getting reconstruction  done to make the building a bit stronger / revamp

The only bit of this site I found interesting was the little farmhouse that they have now turned into a little museum 

It said that this was built in the 12th century but by the 14/15th century, the complex was remodeled.  sadly Bishop Waltham's place was badly damaged in the civil war.

this was the 2nd family site we explored out of 4 we had down for the day, When we arrived, there was only 1 other car in the car park, the site is a good size too, But the weather wasn't that good as it rained on our visit, some parts of the abbey were closed due to unsafe.

its said that nettles abbey is an example of a surviving Cistercian monastery , it back dates to around the 13th century
