to start our day off we drove down to Colchester to have a look at this little priory, i personally didn't think it was worth the 76m drive but we do other things in the area too , it was pretty cold and their kids running over the graves that were in the priory;/

don't get me wrong the place is very interesting but just in a bit off an odd place to be hosted. only

worth viewing if you're in the area.

it is said that the priory back dates to medieval times, it was built with flint and roman rock, but in 1648 it got badly damaged by a cannon.

The Grove Air Raid Shelter - Watford

 Grove air-raid shelter

I finally got round to finally getting into the grove air-raid shelter after failing a few times before in 2019 & 2020 ( believe it or not I was stood next to just didn't believe it was them ) why my panter and daughter waited outside I took a nose inside - I have to say I'm not a fan of being in locations on my own anymore - I was surprised though how big this place was from the outside it just looks like a small common air-raid shelter.

I can't really find much online about these air-raid shelters, apart from that they had a code name "Project X" and the shelter was apparently built in December 1941 made up of all different shapes and sizes - it said that there was only one surviving block left.

over all the explore was a look little explore.

our first stop of the day was this lovely little chapel located in the middle of nowhere, the chapel is grade 2 listed and looked after by  Friends of Friendless Churches. it is said the church backdate to around the 16th century
the chapel inside is very open and has lots of space but also very dark and spooky, we spent about 40 mins in here taking photos and videos of the place.
if you passing through the area does have a look at this little chapel.
