Peel Ports Air-raid shelter - Sheerness

Peels Port

Date: August 2024
Location: Sheerness
public/abandoned - abandoned
Delmoished - No

I saw a post about this on Facebook, so I searched on Google Maps until I found the location. Then, I headed to Sheerness to take a look at it. The shelter was a bit hard to find, but I eventually found it hidden well. The air-raid shelter is quite small. I

am not sure about its history, but I think it might have something to do with the Martello towers.

 Date:  April
Location: Sheerness
Public or Abandoned: public

we thought as we were on the subject of visiting churches around our local area, we found this one in harty sheerness, i have known about this church for a good few years but just never went to it, anyways we took a drive over the island, once we got into the church I headed in, and it was a pretty little church, there were people leaving as I went in and as i leaving people was going in, seems like a very popular little church,

So it said that the church is grade 2 listed, and it doesn't not have electricity, it also said that that church back dates to around the 11th or maybe 12rh century, The church does still hold services Monthly But is open to everyone to visit.
