Somehow, I ended up in Ashford with my friend and my daughter. Being my usual self, I spotted a little church before we headed to the outlet center. We parked the car and walked over to the church. We didn't spend long there, as we often don’t in churches—the layouts tend to look the same. It's sad to see that this church is somewhat run down, with some parts in need of repair, which is common for older churches. However, I was surprised to see writing on the wall, as that is rare. Despite its condition, the church was lovely and pleasantly cool, especially since it was hot outside.
This lovely church dates back to the 12th century, and extensions were added during the 13th and 14th centuries. It is also mentioned in the Domesday Book and is classified as a Grade I listed church. The church holds services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.
