Abandoned Golf Range

In 2018, I stumbled across an abandoned golf range while driving around Medway with a few friends. We decided to make a quick stop and check it out. It was completely trashed and there wasn't much to see.
Unfortunately, around 2021, the golf range was turned into houses. It is reported that a total of 118 houses were built out of the 131 originally planned. However, I couldn't find any further information on why the golf site closed down.
