The Reculver Towers are quite interesting; however, it’s a shame that they are not open to the public, only the grounds surrounding the towers are accessible. The area can get very busy, but overall, it's an intriguing place to visit.

It is said that this site is one of the earliest Roman forts built to defend against Saxon raids. Before becoming a parish church, it was originally a monastery. The towers were constructed in the 12th century as part of the remodeling of the church.
