Fort Risban - Calais France

 Fort Risban

Date:   April 2014

Location:  Calais france

Demolished:  No

I have only traveled outside of the UK once, and that was when we accidentally discovered Fort Risban during a day trip to France. At the time, we didn't know what it was, but it looked interesting, so we took some photos. Later, we learned that Fort Risban is a fort that was constructed to protect France.

It dates back to 1346 and was used during both World War I and World War II. Today, it stands as a historical landmark in France that visitors can explore.
