Cliff Fort - Medway

Cliff Fort

Date: May

Location:  Cliffe

Public or Abandoned:  Abandoned

The Cliff Fort was built in the 1860s and played a crucial role in protecting Medway during both World Wars. During our exploration of the fort, we had to tread carefully due to its deteriorating and unstable condition. I had no trouble entering and exploring the fort. It was my first visit, and I spent several hours there. Unfortunately, the lower levels are currently flooded, making them inaccessible for exploration.
