Wellington Arch
Every time I'm in London, I've passed this building without realizing you could go inside. When I discovered it was managed by English Heritage, I took the chance to go in. My daughter and I decided to check it out while we were in London. The only downside was that it was raining, but that's British weather for you!
Overall, we didn't spend much time inside, as my daughter was primarily interested in getting her pop badge and stamp for her lanyard. However, there was a pretty cool view from the top.
I learned that the arch is one of London's well-known landmarks. It was built between 1825 and 1826 and was originally meant to be an entrance to Buckingham Palace, but it was moved to its current location afterward. The building is also a Grade I listed structure.
