I was in Ashford and remembered that the tank was there after seeing online that they want to get rid of it. I thought I would go and take some photos of it before it potentially disappears. This tank is a rare surviving example of a female Mark IV tank from World War I. It is said to have been gifted in 1919 and is the only remaining memorial tank out of the original 222 that sits

on the original site.
