Copenhagen Town Hall
Date : Oct | Location: Denmark | Open to the public.
The interior of this place is very beautiful. We went inside to take shelter from the rain, which was quite heavy that day. While we were there, we saw several weddings taking place, and it was interesting to observe how a different country celebrates weddings. We ended up staying inside for about an hour.
I learned that before the town hall moved to the main square, it originally operated from 1479 until it was destroyed in the Great Copenhagen fire of 1728.
The second town hall was built in 1728, but it also burned down in another fire in Copenhagen in 1975.
The current city hall was constructed in 1815 and officially opened in 1905. It is still in use today for city administration and court functions.
