There are several public gun placements that date back to WW2. Located just behind Mid Kent College in Gillingham, there is a walking path called Lower Lines that takes you around all the gun placements that were dug out after the college was built. Although they are not well-maintained, these historical artifacts offer a fascinating glimpse into the Medway towns' past and are open for people to visit.
