St Augustine's Hospital - Chartham

Chartham Asylum Hospital was mostly closed down in 1993, and much of the land has since been developed into housing.

To start our exploration, we checked out one of the remaining buildings. We were surprised by how large the site was, despite the closures. Gaining access was easy; all we had to do was walk over the fence. Once inside, we simply wandered through the eerie corridors.

Most of the original site has been demolished for housing, with very few buildings still standing.

Stanley House - Chartham

This building was once part of the Chartham Asylum Hospital. Most of the facility closed down in 1993, and the majority of the land was redeveloped for housing.

Unfortunately, the house was targeted in an arson attack by a group of teenagers.

This was the first exploration of our day, as we also checked out other buildings that remain on the site. At the time, access to this building was very easy.
