iv always wanted to do grain fort - but always miss judge the tide, that is what happened here managed to walk almost out to it but the tide started to come back in to had to head back to shore and just hope for a revisit one day
it said that the fort is half a mile away from the shoreline and was built around 1885 - the fort was used due to the second world war and used to have 3 guns that sit in the room - in 2014 the fort sold.
