Cliff Fort
Date: May
Location: Cliffe
Public or Abandoned: Abandoned
Demolished: No
The Cliff Fort was constructed in the 1860s and played a vital role in protecting Medway during both world wars. However, during our exploration of the fort, we had to tread carefully as it was deteriorating and unstable. Despite this, back in 2014, when these photos were taken, we had no trouble entering and exploring the fort. It was my first visit, and I spent several hours there. Unfortunately, the lower levels are currently flooded, rendering them inaccessible for exploration.
