The Chislehurst Caves offer guided tours of a small section of the vast underground cave system, which runs for about 22 miles. These caves were used as air-raid shelters during the war and were all hand-dug by humans.
While the tours are fascinating, visitors are not permitted to explore on their own or take their time.
