Date June| Location Sevenoaks | Demolished No

Since we were already in the area, I had this church marked on my list. After visiting another church that was closed, we headed to this one. I must say, the church was lovely, but I felt quite out of place in the surrounding area. I definitely stood out as being different. We spent some time exploring the church, and it was so nice and peaceful inside, similar in layout to many other churches. It is said that the church dates back to the 13th century.

The explore

We were passing through Sevenoaks & though we stop off at Otford Palace,

At first, we didn’t wanna get out of the car to make the 5 mins walk to the building because it was raining then we plucked up the courage, got out of the car, and put are 8 months into the bushbaby carrier and off we went,

Walking down to the Otford Palace was a nice little walk with few dog walkers & a little bit muddy lots of information bored around about the place

When we got up the ruins was surprised it was still attached to Someone house, overall the ruins are lovely ☺️

It said that place was talked about in a doomsday book and that all that remains is the old water tower

20 mins down the road from Otford Palace was some lovely woodland, in these woodlands are small ruins of what used to be an air-raid shelter ( remind me of a Twix bar from the distance “

We got out of the car and walk into the woodlands, was a lovely but muddy walk into the woods down the little air-raid shelter

The air raid shelter itself is just a holly out shell, with remains of other foundations around it.

When we got back to the car we managed to be the rain got admitted was a great feeling πŸ˜‚
