South forelands Deep shelter - dover

South forelands Deep shelter 2

Date : October 2018
Location Southforlands
Access : Yes need get Key

After obtaining the key from the key holder, we returned to South Forelands and entered the deep shelter. As expected, the layout resembled that of most deep shelters.

Despite being one of the smaller ones in the area, it still featured symmetrical tunnels, two entrances, and a set of stairs. This deep shelter was originally part of the Regimental Headquarters.

South forelands unknown room - Dover

South forelands Unknow room

Date oct | location Kent | Delmoished - No

I’m not sure what this room was or what it was used for; it was most likely used for ammunition storage, but I have no definitive information. Unfortunately, no historical records can be found regarding this room.

South Forelands Magazine 4 - Dover

South forelands Magazine  4

Date : October 2017
Location  South forelands
Access : Yes ( Public)

This section of South Foreland can be accessed without a key, as the entrances have been cleared. However, the entrance to the rooms is quite small and easy to overlook if you're not aware of what to look for. Once inside, the rooms are interesting to explore, although they are not very spacious. This was Magazine Room 2 out of a total of 4 located in the area. It’s nice to see that restoration efforts are currently taking place.
The magazines are part of the South Foreland site, which also includes 2 plotting rooms and 2 deep shelters. I was unable to find much information online regarding the magazine rooms.

The South Foreland area can be accessed without a key, as the entrances have been excavated. However, the entrance to the rooms is quite small and easy to overlook if you don't know what to look for. Once inside, the rooms are interesting to explore, although they are not very large. This particular room is Magazine Room 1 out of four located in the area. It’s great to see that restoration work is currently underway.

The magazine rooms are part of the South Foreland complex, which also includes two plotting rooms and two deep shelters. I wasn’t able to find much information online regarding the magazine rooms.

South Foreland Amo Magazine 2&3 - Dover

South forelands Magazine 2&3

date September | Location dover  | delmoished No

as from 2025  You can no longer access

This was a fun little exploration of the Southforland area. You don't usually expect to find storage rooms like these that are open for exploration. They were dark inside and covered in cool graffiti, but they still retained some of their original features. Sadly, I can't find much history about them online.

Langdon hole - Dover

Langdon Hole

date : 25-09-2017
Location : dover
Access : Nope

This was my first visit to Langdon Hole, and it was quite interesting. I must admit that some aspects of it creeped me out, especially because there were some eerie drawings on the walls. Overall, it was nice to explore inside.

The bunker was built in late 1942 and served as one of the Joint Operation headquarters. It's said that the National Trust (NT) is working to make it safe, similar to what they did with Fan Bay, but so far, nothing has come of it.
