Fartingloe Battery
Date : 4-2-2018
location : Dover
Access : Yes - Public footpath
This site is located in the opposite direction from the Cital Battery. During our visit, the dust was settling due to the winter months, which made the exploration somewhat eerie, but nothing negative occurred. It was fascinating to see a battery like this on a public footpath, and some of its original features were still visible.
It is said that this structure was originally named D1 and had guns mounted on it at the beginning of World War II, specifically 3.7-inch guns.
