While we were out exploring, we came across this lime works. The site was noted to be a lime works and was partially demolished. It has been abandoned for many years and has also been used for a number of films and TV programs.

This was our last exploration of the day after checking out some nearby places. I have to say, I was blown away when I was exploring these lime works. I have only ever explored one other factory area in the past. It amazed me how much stuff was still left behind. It was as if people got up and just left without any warning. 

The chalk quarry in the South Downs was used to quarry lime, which was used for manufacturing Midhurst white bricks and for agricultural purposes. It closed down in 1999.
