Upon my arrival at the church, I was uncertain whether it was open, as I had seen on Google that it had been closed at times when visitors came. However, upon reaching the church, I went to check and found it to be open. I then proceeded inside and was amazed by the beauty of the interior, which was different from the other style churches I am used to exploring.

I learned that the church was built in the 18th century and is a Grade 2 listed building, considered to be of special interest. In 2017, it was redecorated. Private prayer sessions are still held on Sundays.

We visited a small church which was more like a chapel in size. The walk to it was short but the ground was a bit boggy from the rain. The door was a bit stiff to open, but once inside, we found just one room. It was very interesting to look at and read some of the information about the church ruins.

The only thing that remains of this church is the Chancel. The church was demolished in 1885, and the building where the Chancel sits dates back to medieval times. The foundation of the building is said to be from around 1190.

When we entered this church, I was amazed at the stained glass and how pretty it looked inside. Even though the church was pretty small, it was still a very interesting little place.

I learned that this church was built in 1866, but it was actually the third one to be built as the previous two had been demolished years before. The church is an Anglican church and is also Grade 2 listed.

St Nicholas' Church, Freefolk, Hampshire

St Nicholas Church

                                           Delmoished: NO

this little church was interesting because at first glance, it doesn't look like a church. As I turned up, someone else must have just left because the door was left open. Once I was inside, I was kind of spooked out because of the way it was laid out and the vibe of the church was a little bit spooky.

According to the information I have, the church dates back to the 13th century. In 1896, a new church was built on the opposite side of the road. The church became redundant in 1974 but was later taken over by church conservation in 1976.

"I didn't plan to visit this church, but I stumbled across it while I was in the area. To my surprise, it was a beautiful place inside and it seemed like it had been preserved well. The church is located near other churches in the area, making it a great spot for a family outing. Although no lights were inside the church, the natural light came in from outside.

According to the Doomsday Book, the area of Colemore was mentioned, but the church itself is believed to date back to the 12th century. The church was declared redundant in 1972, and the Churches Conservation Trust took over its management in 1974. Although it is a rare occurrence, services are still held in the church from time to time.

 Arethusa

                                           Abandoned or Public : public
                                           Delmoished: NO

I thought I'd take some photos of the outside before it's too late. The building closed its doors in 2019 and remains empty to this day, even after 4 years. The property is once again up for sale, as it apparently shut down due to a lack of bookings.

The statue located at the front of the building is Grade 2, which means that regardless of what happens to the Arethusa building itself, the statue cannot be touched or moved."

"I had a day off work and decided to visit Upnor to see Cockham Wood Fort and the Type 24 pillbox on the waterfront. Although I had been here before, I never really took any photos.

Cockham Wood Fort was built around 1669 but was abandoned around 1818 and was never used due to wars. It was left to rot and became the ruins that you see today.

Type 24 pillbox lies on the beach. It was built between 1940 to protect the beach. Despite falling into the sand, the pillbox is still in good condition. ,
