I had driven past this place for years but never really explored it until recently. So, we decided to slip through the fence and take a look at the old burnt nursery. Once we were inside, we found the place riddled with needles that homeless people had been using to stay out of the weather. At the same time, I was surprised by how much was left inside.

The nursery reportedly closed down in 2009 after experiencing several arson attacks. UPDATE: The site is now completely burnt out, with nothing left inside.

I recently visited the Slate Museum for the second time, and I was amazed at how much I had missed during my first visit. The place is rich in history, with so much to see, do, and explore that one could easily spend several days there. I am definitely planning to return in the future to fully explore the area. The slate museum is situated in an old slate quarry, and the workshops date back to the 19th century. While they have been left unused and abandoned, they have now been transformed into a museum.
