Kingsdown ROC post - Dover

Kingsdown ROC post

date : 13-04-2018
Location : kingsdown

This ROC post was not even on our list of explores to do. We just happened to be nearby, so we thought we would check it out. This ROC post was a lot cleaner than other ones I have been in. It still had some cool stuff inside the ROC post, which was very cool to see. So, you did get the feel of how some people would have lived in the ROC post.

Like most ROC posts, this one was open in 1996 but sadly closed in 1991.

Stacklands Retreat House - west kingsdown

                                               Stackland's Retreat House

Date: November 2016

Location: West kingsdown

Demolished: Yes

I had a day of work and was invited to go exploring, so I got my things ready and was picked up. We headed over to West Kingsdown, near Sevenoaks, and the site was much bigger than I expected with lots to look at. We were racing against time as the sun was setting quickly, but we managed to explore the entire site. The history of the site was very interesting; it was inhabited by priests back in the 1940s. However, I couldn't find much more information on the site. It is also rumored that it was very haunted.
