The Swan Quarry

                                                  The Swan Quarry

Date: 12-09-2020
location: Wiltshire

This mine was impressive to visit, and it was fairly straightforward to navigate since it only had one direction. We didn’t spend too long here, as there wasn't much to see, but my favorite part was definitely the crane at the end of the mine. It provided insight into how the mine was used and constructed.

Kingsdown Quarry, also known as the Swan Mine, began operations in the late 18th century.
