-We had a simple and easy time exploring the St Martin battery, which was open to the public. Although we hoped to explore the deep shelter, we soon found out that it was sealed and inaccessible. We looked around the rest of the battery and then moved on to our next location since we were on a time limit.
According to the information, the St Martin battery was built in the 1870s and had 3x 10-inch RML guns. It overlooks the western docks and also has a deep shelter
