We had a straightforward and enjoyable time exploring the St. Martin Battery, which was open to the public. Although we were eager to explore the deep shelter, we soon discovered that it was sealed and inaccessible. After looking around the rest of the battery, we moved on to our next location, as we were on a time limit.

 

According to the information available, the St. Martin Battery was built in the 1870s and features three 10-inch RML guns. It overlooks the western docks and includes a deep shelter.
