Being semi-local and looking for something to do, we decided to check out the castle. I have to say it was pretty cool to see.
It is noted that Eynsford Castle is a rare survival of an early Norman castle.

I had another day of exploring local gems and came across this one. I must say, it was quite peaceful when no one was around.
It’s said that the castle was built around the 12th century and served as a residence for over 150 years.

1066 Battle of Hastings Abbey & Battlefield

I visited the battlefield for a day, and I have to say, the site was bigger than I expected. It was still a lot of fun to explore.
The information displayed mentioned that in 1066, King Harold and William the Conqueror clashed here.
