"I had a day off work and decided to visit Upnor to see Cockham Wood Fort and the Type 24 pillbox on the waterfront. Although I had been here before, I never really took any photos.
Cockham Wood Fort was built around 1669 but was abandoned around 1818 and was never used due to wars. It was left to rot and became the ruins that you see today.

This was are second exploration of the day, and i was blown away by the style of the church i have explored many of different churches but this defo in my top 5 i enjoyed - the style of the church is amazing with lots of features - the good thing about this church it has power too so you can turn the lights on and see the church for what it really looks like then in the semi-dark. The view from the top of the hill the church sits on is also very pretty.
So its said that the church back dates to the 14th century,

This was are last exploration of the day before dropping my friend off at home, we were only there for about 10 minutes but was pretty interesting to see, but also spooky at the same time.
It said that the castle is an ancient monument, and said it was built around the 15th century,

This was are second attempt trying the church, the first time we arrived late and it was closed, when we arrived took we went in and had a look at the church ( it also has power) thanks to the key holder showing us how to open the door as we got confused on it, The church inside was very pretty and it was so cute to see the original features as well as old photographs of the church.
So it said that this little church, back dates to around the 14th century and has not been touched for over 600 years - everything inside is all its original feature. it also said that this church was an old Anglican redundant church too.
