this was our first visit of the day, as we were mega excited to see this - once we arrived we waited in the queue for about 20 mins, and then we were in - we went straight to the shuttle bus that takes you straight up to the stone - my god they were busy - but they was interesting, even know you cant get right up close to them you can get close enough.


it said that Stonehenge is one of the prehistoric monuments, it said it was built in a few stages,  it said that the first stage was built about 5,000 years ago, it said that the unique stone circle was built in the late neolithic period 2500bc. it said that in the early bronze ages many burial mounds was built nearby

being very local to up and Rochester castle i have visited these castles many many times over the years - but we did a revist to show a friend of mine who never been to these castles - Both castle are lovey and always



Rochester castle :


it siad that the 12th-century keep/stone tower is one the best preserved in England and France, The construction of the astle started in 1087 and the keep as built around 1127 using Kentish ragstone, in 1984 english heritage took the site

Upnor castle :


so it said that Upnor castle is a rare exampled of an artillery fort that begin in 1559 and as resolved in 15991-1601

Upnor castle was still in use by the military until 1945 - Then the castle was open to the public and is now owned by English heritage.

Milton Chantry - Gravesend

We popped over to Gravesend to go to the fort again to show my friend around but I thought ill pop back into this little site so I can cross it off my list of English heritage sites ( even know the fort, not English heritage ) this site just happens to sit on the grounds. it's an interesting little site for sure.


it said it was the oldest building in Gravesend, it said that all that remains of the leper hospital that was built in 1322,


the site house was also used as a tour chapel, public house, and Georgina barracks, it said that basement of the house aw used as a gas decontamination chamber during the second world war. it said the building still has the 14th-century timber roof.
