Horam - Cuckroo trail - East Sussex

Horam Train station

 Date:   Feb 2023
Location: East Sussex
Public or Abandoned: Public
Demolished: No

We took a little drive up to Horam park of the cuckoo trail as it was the main bit we wanted to see, and with the weather still being a bit chilly we didn't really want to walk much of the trail, but driving to the disuse station the views was amazing, once we got there we did not really see many people maybe 1/2 people that was passing by.

it said  that the line opened in 1880, but in 1965 the line closed to passengers and only freight trains used the line until 1968 when it closed down completely

Chyngton Bunker / Seaford GPO Repeater station - East sussex

 Seaford GPR repeater station

 Date: Jan 2023
Location: Seaford
Public or Abandoned: Abandoned
Demolished: No

being a Sunday morning, we thought we take the 1hr 30 drive down to Seaford to go and have look at this tiny bunker, funny enough you can see it from the road, knowing the fact how open the  bunker is there is not really any graffiti in there, just some old remembrance that someone was living in there at one point, we spent about 30 mins in there taking photos and some videos of the bunker,

it said that the bunker was built in 1942, there was another one built
Dover, Southbourne, Swanage, and Dartmouth but is unknown if they have surried or not ,  The bunker had a few rooms two small rooms, and one main room.

Newhaven Fort - East Sussex

 New haven fort

Date:  September 2022

Location: New haven

Public or Abandoned: Public

Demolished:  No

Just as a spear of the moment thing we decided to hop in the car and drive up to the new haven to go and explore the fort,  The fort cost just under £9.95 per person to get in but that price does include re-entry at any point for the year ( annual pass ).  Driving up to new haven took us a little under 2hrs, and we was glad the weather held out - as we been having rubbish weather recently it sayed dry for all the day - the fort is dog-friendly too so good for your 4 legged friends too - we spent a good 1 1/30 looking around the fort going in and out all the rooms, and then spent another 1 1/30 in the play park that on-site with our toddler who love a play park;') so she was happy when she saw that -

the fort is easy to access all way round but some the corridors were very small and your 4-legged friend are allowed in all the rooms too apart from the cafe,   They had an Air-raid expedition on at the time of our visit which was pretty well details and very interesting

So it is said that New haven fort was built back in the 19th century and is one of the largest defense systems in Sussex, is also said that Newhaven fort is 1/72 forts that was British Government under Prime Minister Lord Palmerston.

It said that that fort was built in 1862 and took 10 years to build,  Its also said by the end of the 19th century the fort was outdated and needed updating.
