While walking around the marsh, we came across a route that was apparently closed to the public. However, we decided to check it out anyway, and it led us up to the old kilns. It was pretty interesting to climb on the kilns and look at them. The kilns were known as "The Pottery" and there were apparently two plants on Cliffe Creek. It was also mentioned that the kilns had closed down in 1895. We were heading towards the fort and this route provided us with another way to get there.
