iThe vaults in Edinburgh's High Street date back to 1788 and were used for 30 years by various people, including as a hiding place for a body. The vaults currently house different stores and pubs. If you want to visit, you can join a tour to see a small section of the vaults and learn about their history. The tours are usually 1 hour long, and there are different tours available for different parts of the vaults. I highly recommend visiting if you're ever in Edinburgh.
