Cobham Heavy Anti-Aircraft Battery (TS15 Anti Aircraft Battery) & Guard house -kent

 Heavy Anit-aircraft battery ( TS15 anit aircraft battery )

 Date:  March
Location: Cobham
Public or Abandoned: Abandoned
Demolished: No

This was our 3rd attempt exploring it and this time we got to it, just to find out we have missed some bits so another revisit is needed( we went back to photos at bottom of this blog). Getting to it was easy/difficult at the same time as there were a lot of overgrown trees you have to go through, it was great fun and very simple to explore and very interesting as you don't get to see many of these ani aircraft batteries anymore.
we only found 1 of the gun placements and did not see the magazine room so will update you once we go back to see them.

so it said that this Anit aircraft battery would of had four 4.5 guns, and between two of the placement there would of been a sunken magazine room, it said the battery was established in 1940 but was decommissioned  in 1945

UPDATE: WE WENT BACK AND THERE ARE MORE GUN PLACEMENTS & MAGAZIN ROOMS

I kept meaning to do these for a long time being local to them, they are on a public footpath so anyone go up to them, and you will encounter dog walkers too, the first house you come across is very overgrown and sadly you can't get inside off it, the second one you come across you can access and look like some old workhouse  with a barn attached to it , for the photography side of things it really cool but is a bit spooky,

Sadly there is not much information on this place

Sandwich WW1 Prison - Kent

 Sandwich WW1 Prison

 Date:  March
Location: Sandwich
Public or Abandoned: Public
Demolished: No

I had this place pinned for a few years after seeing about it on youtube in 2016 but could not work out how to get there, then finally after seeing a few of my friends go there turns out it is really easy to go do ( it is on a public walking route), we thought we take a walk to the old ww1 prison/detection center once we got there, some people were already there flying there drones, i took a look around the old prison and just found it interesting how small it was
the graffiti in the prison was interesting too.

It said that this was a detention creating the need for a relatively small detention centre with 10 cells, a central corridor and guard rooms. center, During the First World War, a secret "Q" port was built in the wider area,
