The second explore of the day was the Newhaven emergency battery (:

We park in the carpark for Newhaven fort & then walk up the hill to the coastal watchtower,

The watchtower is made up of 3 massive gun holder & then a cost guard lookout

Sadly all the building including the plotting room was sealed up but was nice to just walk around the battery, we even saw someone BASE jump off the Cliffe too

The view from the battery over the beach was lovely as it was also a clear day

its said that the battery was constructed in ww2, the emergency battery is located at the top of the Cliffe and would have housed three guns  .

Tbh -  we were a little bit disappointed in this location, The ground is very lovey but the castle is three rooms down stairs and a few up stiars,  but due to the current covid reactions, you have rushed along so it makes visiting the castle a bit unpleasant ( unformal i don't have any photos of the inside castle as your not allowed taking the photo)  we spent a good 2/3 hours on the castle/fort grounds at the big pond.

it said that the castle/fort that built-in 1539 / 1540 to help protect against the invasion from France . the fort was built by Henry VIII

To start off our a family day out exploring English Heritage locations, we start off at this Roman fort / Castle ruins

It was an externality hot Sunday, and we headed down to Richbourg near sandwich, once we got to the site we were greeted by lovely staff member’s, the site itself is not very big but worth a look if your passing by

it said that   that richborugh roman fort is Saxon shore fort , it was founded by the romans after AD 43

nice little stroll around a country park - we took the long route to the train ( when it was right next to the carpark almost ) , Some times the  places your loud to be are more fun 

ovcr all it was a nice stroll around the country park to kill some time in the morning  

the cart below is and example of what they would of used in the clay chalk pick back in 1960's
