I really enjoyed my visit to Leeds Castle. I received a slight discount when we bought our tickets online, and the great thing is that the tickets are valid for the whole year. The castle itself was a bit of a trek, but the gardens surrounding it are very beautiful. Overall, my experience of visiting the castle was a positive one.
We had tried to visit this church a few times, but it was always closed. I later found out that it is open on Saturdays, so we added it to our list of places to explore for the day. This church is a bit out of the way, but it is quite interesting inside. The layout and appearance are similar to most churches from this time period, yet each church has its own unique characteristics that set it apart from the others.
Like many churches, St Mary's is a Grade I listed building. It originated as a Saxon church before being rebuilt between the 13th and 15th centuries. It also served as a medieval archbishopric for Canterbury.
