Leiston Abbey - Suffolk

Leiston Abbey

Date:  January 2022

Location:  Suffolk

Public or Abandoned: Public

Demolished:  No

This was our second exploration of the day, a little English heritage site that was hidden in the middle of nowhere almost in a very small village -  once we arrived there we had the whole site to are self pretty much with no one else really around,  it was a lovely site to visit - just a little disappointed as a some of it was also fenced off but that expected with some of these sites,

it said that this site back dates to mid 14th century , it also said it was meant to be the most impressive monastic ruins in Suffolk.  it also said in 1380 there was a fire on the site, but that building did get rebuilt
