Strood pump house

 Strood Pump House

There isn’t much to say about this building; it's just a run-down structure that was left behind when they demolished the area. I walk past it all the time during my dog walks, and I noticed it was open, so I went in at the beginning of July and took some photos of the inside. It was quite interesting.

 st paul's st peter's

Date June| Location Sevenoaks | Demolished No

Since we were already in the area, I had this church marked on my list. After visiting another church that was closed, we headed to this one. I must say, the church was lovely, but I felt quite out of place in the surrounding area. I definitely stood out as being different. We spent some time exploring the church, and it was so nice and peaceful inside, similar in layout to many other churches. It is said that the church dates back to the 13th century.

Abandoned carehome - Sevenoaks

 Abandoned care home

Daet June | Location Kent | Delmosihed - No

I had this place pinned for about 5 or 6 years but lost the pin. It then popped up on social media, so I went searching for it again and found it after about 20 minutes of looking. This time, I noticed that the maps showed how burnt it was. Since we were already out exploring, we decided to head over to Sevenoaks to take a look. Finding somewhere to park was a pain, but we eventually found a spot nearby and walked down the road for about 5 minutes.

Getting inside was easy. Once we were in, we saw that it was burnt out and extremely overgrown. I wasn't there for a long time, but it was still a good little exploration.

Unfortunately, I can't find much history on this place.

RAF detling - Type 22 AA Pillbox

 Type 22 AA

Date - June | Location Kent | Delmoished - Yes / No

This was just a quick stop since we had other locations we wanted to explore. While we were out, we thought, why not check out this pillbox? I have to say, it is so different from any other pillbox I have seen, and at the same time, it was really interesting. It's just a shame that it was covered in tires, lol. This pillbox was used in World War II and is classified as a Type 22 pillbox.
